The other night I arrived home and started backing down my driveway when I noticed my ABS light come on, then my Air Bag light, and my parking Brake light came on. Then I noticed my windows would not work and my A/C blower did not work. I checked everything else, radio, all lights inside and outside, door locks, etc. and they worked fine. I checked the fuse panel on the drivers side and found nothing blown.

Has anyone seen this before of am I in new territory? What should I check next?

My truck is a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins and everything is stock. I have just over 160K miles and it runs great.

Funny this just started happenong to me the other day. The next time it happens make sure the ignition key is all the way on... Give it a lttle jiggle back and forth. Happened to me this AM again little jiggle was all it took

We had similar problems with our '06 1/2 ton gas work truck. The ignition switch (key lock on column) was shot. It only had 60,000 miles on it. the second one lasted 15,000 miles. The first one got so bad you didn't need the key to start it, could pull the key out at anytime (even while going down the road) and it would go in and out of it's detents at will. It caused warning lights to come in intermittently and occasionally the truck would shut off while driving. FUN when merging on the highway! Third lock-so far, so good but it's only been a week!

I found and fixed the problem! Thanks to all those that offered help!

This morning I noticed a tiny wire sticking out from under the steering wheel. When I got home i pulled the knee board and steering column cover off and found two wires broken off at a junction plug that is on the right side and about 3inches long. I unplugged it, pushed out the broken clips and reattached the wires. Everything works perfectly! I did notice several wires showing wear where the tilt steering wheel is pulling on the wires. I'm going to need a new wiring harness shortly. Wonder who would have that harness?

Thanks!
