I have a 1991 4wd d250. The steering seems to lock up at times usually after making a stop (with the brakes) and turning. ie. pulling out of the driveway. I have had strange things happen on other vehicles when the inner portion of the brake line collapsed. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is it more than just a sticking brakes? I bought a borgson shaft I just haven't had the chance to install it.

Thanks in advance

Steering problems are never good. Does everything have grease? Are there noises? Does it bind when it is up on jack stands?

Check the U-Joints in the front axles. These tend to wear, rust, bind etc. causing hard steering, wandering or most comonly failure of the steering to ruturn.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I finally installed the borgsen shaft, seemed to cure the problem. What I had misinterpeted as a locking steering turned out the be the extra play caused by the Dodge steering joint. I never thought tha the Borgsen would make such a difference:)
