My 2004 4x4 diesel has developed a vibration that only happens when I am on the power. If you let off the gas it goes away. I have recently put on 35" tires and a front leveling kit only. It's not the balance on the tires 'cause it goes away when off throttle. It is more noticable at lower speeds(30-45) and at less throttle, if you floor it it goes away until you lift and get back on it a little. Any ideas? My guess is something transmission, or front driveline angle? Please help

check the front end. make sure its tight. just through a jack under the axle and lift it. wiggle it at 12 & 6 for ball joints and 9 & 3 for tie rods. when your going those speeds your transmission is 1:1 ratio and may cause a little bit of vibration. otherwise double check the bolts where the leveling kit goes. maybe something rattled loose. doubt it though. how do you like that set up. i'm going to be adding some 35's once my stockers are gone.

I have around 56k miles on it, just had an alignment and we had to replace two tierods but everything else checked out ok. I will check the u-joints. By the way it will vibrate in any gear, 3rd or overdrive doesn't seem to matter.

I do like the tires, I got a set of Nitto Terra grappler 325/65-18 ( I think). I was having trouble getting stuck with the stock BFG's in a muddy pasture I work in, but no more, these tires stay clean and offer tons more floatation.

I have the same setup as you and the exact thing develop on my truck(42,500 miles). I was wondering if I was the only one with this problem, but I didn't know exactly how to explain it. I guess I will need to check my u-joints also.

I HAD THE VERY SAME PROBLEM, CHECKED THE REAR U-JOINTS AND THEY HAD NO PLAY, BUT WHEN I REMOVED THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT, THE REAR U-JOINT HAD A TIGHT SPOT IN IT...

Well it was the rear u-joint, I climbed underneath and it was pretty sloppy. I will change it out tomorrow and let you know if it gone. Thanks again.

Changed out the rear u-joint and its fixed, very smooth. I got the joint from NAPA and it is greasable, was $15. 00. thanks again

Heck, I might just do that as a preventative measure if it's that cheap!
