Is there some choices for a street tread tire for my 04 dually? The Generals seem to work well but I would like to save them for winter use and go with a summer high milage design the rest of the year. Michellen does not have a tire that fite the bill yet.

By the way, here are all the tires curr3ntly available for the Ram dually's LT235/80R17E:

OEMs

- Goodyear Wrangler SR/A (all-season)

- Goodyear Wrangler GS/A (all-terrain)

- General AmeriTrac (all-season)

- General AmeriTrac TR (all-terrain)

Aftermarket

- Cooper Discoverer HT (all-season)

- Cooper Discoverer ATR (all terrain)

- Cooper Discoverer S/T (mud terrain)

- Cooper Discoverer M+S (winter tire)

- Michelin LTX M/S (all-season)

- Firestone Transforce HT (all-season)

Great post KC. You wouldn't happen to have the same info for the SRW would you?

Unfortunately no... at least, not yet. I had been tracking the more bizarre dually size in anticipation of my 05.

The Cooper H/T is a nice road tire. They do surprisingly well in snow and mud. Excelent wear. I was getting about 5-6k/ 1/32 of tread depth. Running Cooper S/T's right now. Will probably get Coopers again. Great tires. :)

SGBARRACUDA, yes they are. They are the same one's that come on our trucks. Doesn't help me much. I don't want the same Michelin's and definitely don't want the BFG's.

bmoeller,

I laugh every time I read the line in your sig. I can just picture Jabba the Hut in those shorts with a mail bag! LOL.
