when I bought my truck It looked like the rims had never been cleaned took some time today to strip the clear coat sand with 320 on the DA then polish with jewelers rouse might not win and shows but I am happy with the out come.

Nice improvement! If you really want to go for it, work your way up to 1200 and then get out the Mother's. Of course then you'll worry about them more too.



You could probably recoat them with a clear finish and have it last longer. I looked into this for a set of 'Vette wheels I did for my Camaro but if you get them smoother that what you have, the finish doesn't stick. As I recall, the proceedure is a bit complex so if you consider it, dig into the details so it lasts.
