Hey guys.

I ordered a PML deep pan, so I'm going to be pulling the stock pan off pretty soon.

The problem is that most of the bolt holes are stripped out. I had the transmission pulled apart last year (lost 2nd gear) and they gunned the bolts down with an impact gun. (claimed I did it when I talked to them about it :-{} ).

I installed heli-coils in them, but a few of them are barely holding in there because they stripped the hole out so badly.

Other than getting a new case, what can I do to fix this?

I thought about it, but the problem is I'd have to go to a fairly large bolt. I've already drilled and tapped them to install the Heli-Coils.

I'm going to call a welder I know tomorrow and see if maybe he'd be able to weld up the holes and we could re drill them. I'm not setup for aluminum welding, otherwise I'd give it a try.
