This is a 1/8" pipe thread, get a tap and put some wheel bearing grease on it to keep the shavings from falling into the turbo and run the tap in far enough to clean up the threads, will be good as new. bg
WOW... That sheds a whole new light on the problem... You could try to retap the hole and see if you could straigten out some of the threads. If that doesn't work, you just might need a helicoil, or tap it out oversize and use a reducer to put the elbow back in... Good luck...
Remove the turbo discharge elbow. Drill out the compressor housing with a 7/16" bit, and tap it with a 1/4" NPT pipe tap. Use a 1/4" to 1/8" NPT bushing and you'll be good to go.
