Well guys, I'm in the process of stripping my truck down since it's leaving next friday.



I know a lot of you guys wanted parts off my truck, but unfortunatly the only thing that's comming off my truck before sale is the fuel pin and injectors (well, the injectors will be out if I have it my way).



The fuel pin is spoken for. But the EDM's are not, hint hint... pm me if interested.



Right now I'm looking at a 24v in town, might be getting it soon.



I know, I know... it's sacrelige but whatever.

I just can't get over the bells and whistles!!! :D
 
The 3rd genners won't like this but.........tis the truth.

Good luck on a new(er) rig. You'll love the sound that the 24 valves make, but hate having a minor electrical glitch render the truck dead... . then there is the lift pump and that VP$$ that'll need replaced.

Get yourself a 12 valve and be done with it. I don't like to send my 24 Valved buses to far 'cause the VP44's crap out whenever they feel like it. My 12's keep going... and going... . and...



Trust me on this... . I manage a large fleet of both. There is no substitute for experience, or 12 valves:D

Excuse me but the 2nd Gens had the VP44s, not the 3rd Gens. :)



I know, I know it still is electronic. Personally, I'd recommend a horse and buggy. :rolleyes: :D :D

FWIW, I live in a heavily populated Amish country and I know them one horse power buggies break down. :)

Blasphemy, sacrelege, it's a sad day

Rumor has it he's getting (sic) an auto, SHORTbed, quad cab. ANd he cant even get a 12V; gotta have ALL the bells and whistles. Well, when those bells and whistles stop chiming, we'll wave as we drive on by, with our mechanical engines still chugging along. Some faster than others, but at least we can run without the battery. SOME of us dont even have a PCM.



But, hey at least he hasnt completely gone to the Dark Side- he's hooked on the inline 6. Oo.

Sorry guys, but nice 12v's just don't exist any more, either they have WAY too many miles, they're overpriced, or both. I wanted one, but I haven't been able to find one.



Who said I was gonna run a vp44 on it? HELLO!!!! P-PUMPED 24V!!!! :rolleyes:



This 24v will be stripped down of all electronics that can possibly be bi-passed, and a p-pump is going in.



DUH!!!

But anyways, you guys in Oregon, keep a lookout for the weenie! It's new home is over in Oregon, it'll be pulling excavation equipment and have a big diesel tank on the back of it.

I thought you were complaining about pouring too much money into the weenie? Now you're already planning on replacing the fuel pump on the new truck... . You knock off a bank or something? :)

Trust me guys, I wanted a 12v, but they just don't exist anymore!



If you guys find me a 97 12v, green, 5 speed, longbed, laramie, club cab in close proximity to Salmon, Idaho and has low mileage... before next weekend, I'll buy it and give you a FINDERS FEE!!!

Yeah, I have to agree with you guys, he was griping about polishing a turd, then has to dump more $$$ into the 24V to get it up to snuff than he'd have had to to get his 93 back in shape.



And CB, define "too many miles. " As long as it is in the lower to mid six digits, there aint no such thing. Like I keep saying 1) paitence, young grasshopper, and 2) high miles are an excuse to BOMB away. It has 250K, "needs" new head, injectors, pump gone through. At the end you have the same money in it as a low mileage truck, but with twice the HP/ Tq. Oh, well, the decreased demand keeps the price down a few nickels on my next 12V purchase.

So let me get this straight, you have a girlfriend, and not only is she not costing you money, she's funding your crack habit??? :) WTF, you better bypass the truck and put a ring on her finger right now, unless of course that causes a reduction in funding... . in which case, just keep on keepin' on, funding won't be the only thing that slows down with a wedding ring... ... ...

Ring? HELL NO!!! I'm only 19, comming on 20. I love her and everything, but I'm just too young. If we're still together after a few years, then hell yeah.

I know what you mean by wanting to get rid of a vehicle, though. I've had a few I couldnt sell quick enough.
