Is there any parts out there to make the g56 transmission any stronger? I am on my 2nd one in 2 weeks  1st time i lost 4th gear the second time i lost 2nd gear. i know everyone says put a 5600 in it but my last truck had that and was just at 550 hp and it locked up at 30000 miles and could not be rebuilt and was not very easy to replace could not find parts or a transmission to swap out but this was 2 years ago.

Someone somewhere just had the internals of their G56 cryo treated to see if it helps... sorry I can't remember who or where, but either here or DTR.

I got another one. A fully built 48re and the swap isn't have bad from what I've read.

That crossed my mind but i have a friend that did that after breaking 3 nv4500's and his fully built transmission has been out 6 time in less than 10,000 miles so i wonder what it really takes to hold a 800+hp daily driver that hooks to a sled 3 or 4 times a year and pull a 8000# enclosed trailer 5 days a week

Here you go:

TTC: Medium - and Heavy-Duty Transmissions

and actually I think the E066-7b @ 660 fl-lb and 450 lb weight, would probably be great. It's 100 lb heavier than the NV5600, so it better be using that extra weight for something other than just one extra gear.

TTC: Medium - and Heavy-Duty Transmissions

or used eBay Motors: SPICER 7 SPEED TRANSMISSION ES56-7A (item 260245327037 end time Jun-07-08 08:51:15 PDT)

An auto would be allison 3060.

Short answer, nothing in a light duty line is going to satisfy both requirements. Towing the trailer is no problem as you will never see top power or be able to sustain it. Hooking to a sled and loading to a full 800 HP is gonna break stuff. Period. :)

Who builds the auto also is a BIG factor. Also DRIVERS! Some can use one hard with no issues and others could break one if it was made out of solid steel.

Lots of them out there. I dealt with some fleet stuff. You could track drivers by what was broke. Some owners or managers that had fleets would get wise to it also.
