Stuck Cup Smoothie from Geno's Need Help

Recently purchased Geno's Cup Smoothie... . Great item, but when I installed it, I had to shim the latch per instructions... . used 3 small washers to extend the latch... . Since doing so, I now can not re-open my console... . It's jammed!



Any suggestions for re-opening are welcomed.

Mine jabs occationally. Usually after the console has been up. I just bang the lid a couple times and it opens - think the locking mechanism for when it's up gets stuck.

I have the same problem. The little key lever stays up & keeps it from working properly. Not much you can do w\ it.

push down on it and this should relieve the pressure and release the latch. You will need to put more washers in it.

This is going to sound barbarian but keep even solid pressure on the open button, now pound downward on the lid area located as close to the center of the latch mechanism. The momentary force of the ... ahem "Pound" should be enough to engage the opening button.

I had the same problem!!!! IF as you close the top, open the latch a couple times as you are closing. I havent had any problems since doing this. Good Luck
