I just picked up my 93 Cummins last night when I test drove it I checked everything including the 4WD. This morning I had to use the 4WD and now it's stuck in 4 high and I can't get iti out. ANY IDEA'S????? HELP!!!!!

Getting it out of 4wd takes some finesse. I am sure others have better advise, but here is what I do. Get up to speed (say 20 or so), let off the gas just between the point of accelerating and coasting while applying pressure to the 4wd shifter. Sometimes it takes a slight bit of throttle then letting off quickly. It may take a few tries, but that is how I do it.

I hope this helps.

Try by puting the gear shifter in net while idiling and see if it moves I know on mine if your trans is in gear forget moving the 4x shifter .

This is very common for 4WD trucks. What happens is either the front or rear axle has turned slightly more or less than the other, creating a bind in the transfer case, making it hard to move from 4H to 2H. Doing what Steve suggests above will work. Also, this is most likely to happen when you are on dry pavement at the time you stop. If you are on snow or ice pack, the transfer case bind will release easier because one of the wheels will slip enough to release the bind and allow you to shift out of 4wd. When mine does it I have good luck backing up or going forward quickly, even on pavement, which is enough to take the bind out. Hope this helps...
