My 600 is stuck in 4lo. I backed up out of a depression on my property and she wo'nt go back out of 4 lo. I have the 48re. I got into n or Park and I switch the nob back to 2wd, but she just keeps falshing and going back to 4lo. I think there is a red light that should come on when I switch into neutral, but it only comes on if I turn the truck off, and then re-start, the red light comes on like an idiot light then goes out. I think the problem may lie there.

Any help?? My 600 isn't going anywhere

A friend of mines Explorer got stuck in 4 low (electric shift) one time. We disconected the battery for a minute and then hooked it back up. The t-case reset and it went back to 2 hi.

Not sure if it will work, but worth a shot.

Did you turn the wheels at all while in 4 low? Sometiems if it is not slippery enough under the wheeel and you turn you can put stress on all the gears. I have actually gone on something like wet grass to make sure all 4 wheels break free to relieve stress and then shifting out. maybe worth a try!

Yes I tried driving down my 800 ft driveway. I went out on the road and drove about a half a mile. I have never had any kind of problem like this before.

I had the same exact problem with a electric shift transfer case in a GM. The secret I found was it had to be rolling to shift. If I rolled about 3mph and left the transmission in nuetral the transfer would shift every time, but it would not shift out of lo if it was stopped.

The motor that switch's the transfer case from 4w to 2w broke. It just broke, no codes or anything, the dealer is replacing it this morning
