Going through the same problem with my truck. You can studd the factory goodyears providing you don't have many miles on them and if you can find someone to do it,or get a stud gun. The tire manufactures have us at their mercy with the 17" wheel in the 235 80 17R. Priced out 6 tires studded at $1700. After the sticker shock I got a stud gun for $250. No body I know is making the same size tire at this time. I hear some guys said they got around last winter ok on the factory tires, you might says the try them first before going to more drastic measures. If you hear of another manufacture out there let me know!
