I had just recently installed a water/meth kit - works great, anyways I ran to the parts store about 5 blocks away turned off the truck for 5 minutes while grabbing some parts. I fired the truck up ran normal, pulled out on the street and then it stummbled, rattled and surged ( blew lots of what appeared to be white smoke out tail pipe) I turned off the ignition cheaked every thing under hood and all gauges everything normal. fired it up and made it 20 feet and the same thing, this carried on for about 4 more times then after about the forth or fifth time it ran normal. I got home put in my fuel pressure gauge and went for a drive and found that idle pressure was bouncing between 10-15 psi and WOT was less than desirable at 5-6 psi - I phoned Piers and he put a new F. A. S. S. on the bus to me. White smoke, stummbling, studdering, possibly missing I'm not sure but I don't think low fuel pressure could cause this, Maybe water leaked into my intercooler and quench the engine( but that doesn't really explain white smoke). Maybe VP44 on way out but no codes were sent, and truck runs normal now( starts great, good performance). I just don't know, I was hoping someone could help.

I nervous because in 2 days I'm hauling my boat on a 2000 km trip threw northern British Columbia, and there's not alot of shops up that way.

Any info would help, thank you.

White smoke could be caused by water being introduced into the combustion chamber, I would venture to say your water/meth setup is not deactivating, or it leaked while the truck was sitting causing the engine to trey and burn a lot of water which causes white smoke. Maybe go back over the install or disconnect it to isolate the problem. Hope this helps a bit.
