I had a low power problem and a check engine light, I went and had the code read and it was low voltage at the boost sensor, and I noticed the oil pressure gauge was jumping around alot also. I went home and found some corrosion in the connector between the map sensor and the edge box I have on it, so I cleaned that out and it did fine for a few days and now it is doing it again and now the oil pressure gauge drops to zero for a little bit and the check gauge light comes on then it goes back up and back down and so on. I guess I am wondering why the oil pressure gauge is acting funny when the corrosion involved the map sensor. Is there some sort correlation of the two. Also, could there be another issue?
I was in a hurry when I cleaned out the connectors, all I did was spray some lubricant down in them and let it soak a little and then cleaned out the corrosion the best I could with a small screwdriver and then put a bunch of dielectric grease in them and put them back together, then it worked fine, but now it's back. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Cory
