49000 miles on mine, 3500 series, all joints were bad, dealership said they weren't worn enough yet to warranty, what a joke !!!!!! I had it fixed at a local garage to the tue of 854. 00 for one side and that included the new drag link also which was bad. Now I'm trying for a re-imbursement from Chrysler. Don't let these dealers bs you. The joints are poor and they fail easily, Roger M,

As long as it's "within specs", they say it's ok. The specs are so wide that the ball dang near has to fall out of the joint before it's out of spec.

I had the Carli ball joints installed about 15,000 miles ago, well 2 torturous Glamis desert trips 1 Barstow trip and jacked up California roads their like brand new :D. Before these joints I had my stock ones go on me less then 20,000 then another 25,000. I purchased the Quad 4x4 joints and those didn't last long either.

Moral of the story is that SPEND the 500 or so bucks and be done with it, cause it cost me 4 times that in buying and installing inferior joints.

I getting ready to do the ball joints on my truck, I'm waiting for the Carli's and have received the Moog lowers.

What's the consensus on the lower joints, Moog?

I read one post where someone said Moogs aren't as good as they used to be. I did a search and have found more postings to support that opinion.

A lot of people like the Napa HD (A Spicer part), also available are A/C Delco, Spicer and a brand I just learned about today called XRF.

The only thing I can say is do not put the adjustable Moog joints in. I had a set put in last spring and I could not keep the truck going straight down the road. You fought with it constantly. I was not the only one in my area with this issue, my mechanic had put these Moog adjustable ball joints in several Dodges. Everybody had the same complaint.

My mechanic replaced everybodies Moog adjustable joints to Moog's nonadjustable ones and no more problems, the truck is back to normal. Moog paid for the replacement, didn't cost me a cent. So far so good with the standard ones, and they are supposedly guarranted for life. We will see, as this is my 4th set of ball joints in 165 thousand miles. The first 3 sets were Morpar.

I got Carli upper BJs on the way. Some people seem to not like Moogs and others swear by them. I want to get the best available. The XRF brand looks interesting.

Funny, I had the same problem with the Moog adjustable uppers untill I figured out how to set them. The Moog lowers seem to be holding up quite well, I like the fact that I can grease them. Now if I could figure out how to change the upper ones to Calli with out having to take the whole thing apart again I'd do it tommrrow just so I never have to do it again.

why in the world do they even make adjustable ball joints in this application, I don't think anyone wants the joints to be adjustable, for a long time the only aftermarket joints out there where adjustable ones.

:-laf To correct alignment problems that the oem did not build any adjustment for.

I haven't tried either in the lowers, only oem. The first set did not last too long with the stock or adjustible uppers. With the Carli uppers in place the lowers have been doing fine

Does anyone have the correct p/n's for the Spicer lowers? I'm scheduled in at Carli in SoCal next week for the uppers and would like to have the lower Spicers installed at the same time. I would love to wait for the Carli lowers but they are still in the testing phase, and I'm way past the time to wait any longer. Jessie at Carli was extreemly helpful this morning in listening to my DW issue even though I am running a Kore system! Tumbs up to Carli!
