Stupid Car Luck

I actualy blew up a fan clutch on my car this weekend. 20 minutes after I got my "new" motor fired up. Slung oil all over me and my fenders while I was trying to time the car in. The exact same thing happend to my dads truck the weekend before. I never thought I would not be able to go racing because my fan clutch blew up lol.



I went back together with a forged piston 9:1 360 for awhile. I got it cheap and I wanted something to get my car running. Ross has had the specs for my 340 pistons for 3 months now and has failed to come up with any pistons. I know this 360 isn't going to run as good as my 340 even though it has ALL the same parts on it. At least I got something to cruise around in now and tear up instead of my truck... well I will probably still hotrod my truck lol

Got the 360 in the 63 valiant today only had one small oops! seems the motor mount on the pass. side is a little backwards. for some dumb reason ths decided to put two mounting holes in the front on the 360,and two in the back on the 318 amazing what you can do with a mig. should run pretty good with 360. went 13. 65 with 318,edelbrock heads,mp 484 cam,headers. hopeing for 11. 80's with 360 ps, might get kicked off if runs to good!!need roll bar in 11. 00's

Yeah your right, 340s and 360s have different mounts on the block. Hope yours runs good for you. I am just hoping this 360 does some 12. 50s for me. My 340 was much faster than I ever thought it would be. Never thought it would go 11. 90s on 93 octane with me driving it to the track. Good luck
