Anyone going to Barrett Jackson?

BowFlex excercise machine recall

Ok, I can die now, I have seen it all. At the peak of the snowstorm today I was taking the boy to work. Saw 3 in the ditch in the first 2 miles from the house. We get out onto the state road and see a car stopped in the opposing lane with people standing outside, and a long line of traffic behind. Oh great, an accident I thought. Got a little closer, there are 2 older ladies (early 50's maybe) snapping their windshield wipers to clear the buildup. Right in the middle of a state road, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon! Must have been snowing 2 inches an hour, there they were with about 30 cars backed up behind them at a complete stop.

How long do you have to drive before you learn how NOT to be an idiot?

The problem is that any moron can get a licence to drive.

Every time it snows here, the same things tend to happen:

4x4 SUV's are in the ditch

The tire stores get so buried that getting a flat fixed takes a couple hours minimum.

The body shops make a ton of money

People never learn!

When I was growing up in Arkansas... my dad drove a feed truck for a living. There were a number of days that he would leave home, drive all day and drive home that night and never touch black top or the ground. He drove on solid ice... He never had a tow truck hooked to him the whole time he drove feed truck...

Common sense plays a huge part,... . wouldnt you think... .

You know I just thought of something ... and yes this may be the wrong thread to share it but..... if I am ever a 1/4 the man that my dad is I have got it made...

Those that when the tires start a spinnin' trying to go up a hill, or leave a stop, they mash the throttle and hold it.

Had a lady at work once who's husband got her a new Jeep Cherokee so she could make it to work in snowy weather. Well, it snowed real good once and she barely made it there. Nobody ever showed her how to pull the lever back into 4WD so she drove in 2WD just like here old car and complained the truck was worse than her car in snow.

That's what I love about the Excape I bought my Wife, No need to put it in 4wd, it does it for her! I have tried it in the snow, you can't even feel the transation from Fwd to Awd. Plus it get 20MPG out of a SUV .
