rail pressure gauge: August 10

Smarty vs. Catcher

Has anyone made a rail pressure gauge for use with 05 model year ?

Would be a nice gauge to have sitting beside my pusher pump fuel pressure gauge on my steering column shroud.

I'm still actively working on mine; hope interest has not faded, because I'm about ready to make some production commitments. Final designs are complete now. The design is 3,000 to 30,000, limited of course to the sender saturation point itself, which (as everyone should know) depends on the truck and is approximately 26,000 or 27,000 psi.

The gauge will be analog. Way cool for actually observing rail pressure while driving. not just for insights into maximum rail pressure, but to really study how the rail behaves under various conditions, with various boxes installed, downloaders, etc. I've been testing them all :)

Final sales availability channels are not yet in place, but since I have both the gauge design and the wiring harness finalized and suppliers identified, it should not be long. I've been runing with a final sample gauge in my truck now for 2 months and the performance is very satisfactory.

stay tuned; I can't give an availability date yet until I get supplier commitments.

SPA still makes them. I ordered one about two weeks ago. I have yet to install it.

I'd rather have an analog version to better be able to tell what's happening.

As soon as Doug's is available I'll be getting one and installing it asap.

Indeed, the design is Pricol Optix. and it will come with a dedicated harness and plugs. the only thing you will have to wire up is +12v for gauge power and then power and ground for the lighting.

I would like a dipricol analog fuel rail pressure gauge next to my pusher pump dipricol gauge. These two gauges mounted in a steering column shroud would match my stock white face gauges nicely.

I really hope he will consider the dipricol white face gauge!!

They are about ready to go into production. I should have more accurate information this week, but I expect it will take 6 weeks approximately.

white face pricol Optix with rail pressure harness that plugs in like a fueling box.

Any updates on a release date?

unfortunately, nothing more solid yet. sorry about that. What I do know is that this is a very small mfg run mixed in with all the other Pricol mfg runs for other gauges. I'll keep trying and get you guys a more solid answer as soon as I can -Doug
