I absolutely think they heard him...and they absolutely responded by opening the hatch.

I DID see that part, that's the part I thought you were talking about. It wasn't clear to me WHICH part you were talking about. Whether the vatos in the sub heard or understood the guy shouting while in pursuit IS doubtful. I write it off to adrenaline on the CGs part.

I think we're on the same page here.
