After 2 months of trying everything we could to find this problem

I took it into the dealer as a last resort. Well I am fortunate that we have a good local dealer, Harzeim Dodge and a great diesel tech working for them, Cliff Langley. Cliff found the problem post haste. the pins in connector C-125 had been spread apart causing the voltage to deadhead against the pins and send a 5 volt spike into the APPS ( his words! I have no idea what this means
) Replaced a few pins and no more problem!!I was so happy I could S&%T
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions and help especially my buddies Blair, Cliff and Brad and to Marco for your long distance advice on what to check next!
I wasn't able to find the problem myself but I did learn more than I ever really wanted to about the electronics in these trucks
