I have an '01 2500, with 4" exhaust, Tymar air filter, superchip programmer, fuel pressure and egt gauge, also have the frame mounted lp and the dodge in the tank upgrade piggy backed giving me 17 -21 psi of pressure.

I have been considering a S+B Intake or maybe switching to Smarty programmer. I am looking for lower egt's and equal or more power. Haul anywhere from 4500 - 10500 #s when loaded about 1-2 x month.

Suggestions?

Smarty is nice, but will not offer any more power than your superchips. If you are looking for more HP, you will need to look at either an Edge box or Adrenaline; both of which involve a wire tap of course. If you are not comfortable going that route, I would suggest some slightly larger injectors. I have a personal preference for the Mach 1. 6's (for a mild upgrade), and you can find them used at a very reasonable price if you take the time to search the for sale areas in different forums. I don't know anything about your current air filter, so I can't comment much on that. If it's doing it's job properly I would leave it alone.

Good luck!

you could also upgrade the turbo and go with a bigger single or a set of twins if you have the $$$ laying around... I know on my automatic it had the hy35 and it would only hit 18 psi so I found an hx35 and shut the wastegate on it and now I can hit 31 psi wot... and wow what a difference it made. It also lowered my egt's about 200 degrees with stock injectors.

You did not talk about your transmission. Auto or manual? You will need auto transmission upgrades or a clutch to add a lot of power. A good custom auto equals a good power upgrade.
