Suggested Ram changes and a rant!

The biggest rant I can think of is the fact that the 05 model year with the auto can not utilize the exaust brake.

From what I understand, DC knows there is a problem with the unit but wont figure out a way to fixit.

Id love to get one for my truck but wont get something that will screwup the warrenty.

Also, make it easier to access the headlight bulbs from the engine compartment.

Not really, and especially on this one. I like a real mirror on the off side.

My thought also... a real mirror and I tow a lot My '99 had the kind of mirror you want. Hated the darn thing!

1. If it were me I would add another 20 minutes to the defroster circuit. I drive about an hour to work everyday. But man, who the heck came up to the timer length on the side mirror/rear window defroster? Half way to work my mirrors fog up and I gotta push the darn button again... Make the darn time like 45min! Quit being so stingy!



2. Why do a countdown on the heated seat time lengths? I understand the hot automatically going to low after a 1/2 hour... but crap, leave the damn thing on!! It eventually shuts itself off... I have a long drive and it's cold up here!!



3. When I leave in am it's dark. So my interior lights are set mid to lower light setting. But in the daytime, can't see crap. Why can't they use a automatic dimmer built into the rear view mirror? It just seems I make too many adjustments. I've never noticed this on any other vehicle.



4. Who the heck changed the glass on the passenger side mirror (on flip out tow models) so the glass is like the drivers side? It seems the field of view is like I am looking through a monocular! Way to tight. Why not use the glass that says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear". I swear, I come so close to running over curbs when I tow my boat... Stupid.



I realize these whiny complaints seem little, but what engineer comes up with these things..... an unpopular nerd I suspect.



Does anyone agree with my assessments?

1: I agree somewhat with the window/ mirror defrost, the mirrors are clear until they turn off then the snow that is blowing around while plowing sticks and I had to turn them back on. This was when I was in AK BTW, not really an issue anymore!



2: mine does not do this that I am aware of.



3: I don't have an issue here either.



4:I like the flat glass, I have more problems seeing with the convex.

Hey Fullsack, I totally agree with you on the illuminated cruise control comment. Our awsome Dodges are behind times bad there but they are still great trucks... ... :-laf
