Anybody running the Sumitt Racing Chrome plated Stainless nerf bars? They look to be made the same as the Westin's, and about $100 cheaper. My father in law is looking for a set and wants the Stainless steel.
I was considering those also. The price seems nice for what they are. The only probelm is that my Mother-in-law will be able to get in my truck easier if I put steps on it. I guess thats why I plan to lift it instead.

A little bit of strategically placed WD-40 should take care of that:-laf :-laf ... ... ... .
Seriously, I'm thinking on taking the chance, for the price. I have Black ones now, maybe I can talk my father in law into them and get me the shiney kind ... ... .
I don't know anyone who has the summit bars but they are a good price. My brother has the Westin chrome plated stainless bars on his truck and they are nice units. Two things you might want to check, the Westin's steps are molded in, not cut out, strong design. Also, the Westins mount real easy, no drilling or cutting, use existing holes.
