Summary of Changes for 2006 Ram?

I've been away from the forums a lot recently so I may have missed photos or discussions of the changes expected. I read posts and others refer to the 2006 2500/3500 trucks as if they have seen photos and read summaries of the anticipated changes. I did a search on the 3G forum and I can't find anything.



Can anyone point me to a link for photos? Can anyone discuss the changes? Tomeygun? Are you out there?

Thanks for providing that. I visited the MegaCab site first. Now I'll go to Tomeygun's shots as you suggested.



I don't think the new look is ugly. I was reading other member's comments this afternoon thinking it must really be an ugly new design. I like it fine from what I've seen.

I'd buy one if I was in the market. Looks OK to me. When the 3rd gens were comming out, there was a huge outcry from the TDR members as to how ugly they were. While I agree that the 2nd gen is still a great looking truck, I like my 3rd gen just fine. It's just a truck.

Who cares what they look like ... its whats under the hood and driveline that counts. I wouldn't care if it had a VW Bettle front end as long as it does the job of hauling loads and trailering stuff.

Your point is taken. I would still buy one if I thought they were ugly but the ownership experience would be much more enjoyable if the trucks are handsome.

I have to say that the extra room may be nice, but I CARE if it's ugly. I would not drive one of those megacabs, nor their nasty looking Dakota cousins. They are so ugly that if I didnt love my 04 so much and had to buy a truck next year, I might even do the unthinkable and not get a cummins I think the only guys that say they look ok are those that may have to buy one :-laf I loved the 2nd gens when they came out and think the 3rd gens look better yet. I'm not sure what DC is thinking but since their merger they certainly ruined the look of most MB's too.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, I like my 2nd gen... even after saying how ugly they were for a couple years... But when I drove one, I realized how beautiful they were!



I'll take one 2006 Quad Cab, please!

I saw my first '06 the other day in NW Phoenix, driving down the road.

It was white with a black front bumper insert. The black front bumper insert is what caught my eye.



Does anyone if they are supposed to be on the road, yet? If not, it may have been one used for desert conditions testing.

most of the other are just the way the packages are made (like now laramie "H" gets sirius sat radio standard, and heated seats standard)
