Summer beverages

What summer concoctions do you whip up?



Warm sunny days are approaching, I was just thinking it's time to stock up on yummy drink supplies.



Some of my favorites include:

1. ice cold beer (of course)

2. Gin and Tonics (let me know if you need the recipe )

3. Margarita's, regular, strawberry and blueberry

4. Hop Skip and Go Naked's

in a pitcher: 1 can frozen concentrate lemonade

refill frozen can with vodka

one beer

add a little water to take off the bitterness

mix all together and pour over ice

These taste just like a really good lemonade, but two glasses and yer a soup sandwich.

Lynchburg lemonade- made the REAL way and not the stuff peddled by JD. Just use 1/3 Jack and 2/3 lemonade from concentrate over ice in a tall glass- very refreshing!

Well since I don't drink beer anymore its Dr. Pepper or tea.

Gin - Seven - Lemon

Gin - Seven - Lemon & Tonic



White wine spritzer (take a medium dry white wine and add about 25%-30% 7-up and add some fresh lemons and limes)



Corona and Lime (goes good with breakfast when you are camping)

Sometimes just plain old cold water is the best, but beer is OK too.

I drink seldom anymore, a Corona & lime on occasion is a nice hot weather beer.

B&B and a good cigar after dinner... . about once a month.

An occasional Grand Marnier. I dont know why.

BEER, Beer, and beer and when I get tired of that I might have a beer juut to break up the monotony. Oo. Oo. Oo.



Just kidding I'm not a lush, but if you eber want to try something a little out of the ordinary get yourself a Hornsby Draft Cider. Think of it as beer with a sour apple twist to it. Good stuff!!

Rum and tonic with a lime wedge and it's fun to beat my meat. Ditto Patriot's cigar. What is life without a good stoggie?

Also, Makers Mark bourbon and one of their bourbon steamed cigars is heaven itself.

Vodka, Squirt soda, with a little ice, is a light refreshing summer adult beverage.

Squirt soda? Man, I have not heard of that in 20, no 25 years!!! Sounds good! For those of us that don't drink beer any longer, there are some very good and even more refreshing no-alcohol brews out there. O'Douls Amber, ice cold, is a favorite of mine. Jim G.
