If you have some spare time while in the Durango, CO. area, the train ride (steam locomotive) from Durango to Silverton is outstanding. I've done it twice & would go again.



If the weather is good, take the outdoor cars. You face outwards instead of forward. So, you won't need to go to the chiropractor, back in Durango, to get your neck straightened-out, again. Sitting in the forward facing seats, you will always be looking to the side.



There is "No Ugly" allowed in Colorado, it seems. However, the entire mountainous West is beautiful.

My 2007 trip has me leaving NW Arkansas, headed to SD, Wall Drug Store, Rushmore, Deadwood, brief visit in ND, MT to Glacier NP, side trip to Canada, WY down to Yellowstone & Tetons, Minden, NE to Warp's old time museum, and then home.

Somewhere along the way is the world's largest ball of string that I MUST see too!
