My 5+ year old chrome tip from Geno's was starting to rust even though I soaked it down every winter w/ WD-40.
I bought a Silverline $$$ but didn't like the nut & bolt attachment. It's in the classifieds if interested.
Summit Racing has 2 tips to choose from 12" (p/n 691119) rolled edge/Slant cut & 18" (p/n 691122) rolled edge/Straight cut.
Both are 4" in 5" OD.
Type of Stainless: unknown
I bought the 12"
Used a sawzall to get the old one off. A quick clean-up with a wire wheel on the exhaust pipe. A coating of Never-Seize (?) on the exhaust pipe.
I can't weld, so I drilled a small hole (SS is slow to drill) on the underside of the tip and exhaust pipe and secured the tip w/ an 11/32 screw & nut.
I also sandblasted the metal part of the hanger & bolt and sprayed it with Eastwoods' Rust Encapsulator. Re-painted the mount on the exhaust pipe while I was at it. Soaked the finished assembly down w/ WD-40.
The 12" (p/n 691119) rolled edge/Slant I got was $29. 95.
Post Script: See the dent on the right side quarter, watch the snow banks when backing in to a spot.
