Sun Coast Pro-Lok converter and valve body + EDM 1.5 + TST or Edge...

Hey guys, I'm thinking about some 1. 5 EDMs and the new Edge or TST box. Using settings that will keep EGTs in check (3/3 - 4/4), I think I can get to about 450-475 RWHP. We have an AFE Proguard 7 intake and I think our cat is going to become terminally ill (poor kitty :{ ).



The question is will the trans hold up for a couple of years with a Suncoast Pro-Lok converter and valve body upgrade?

TWest, thanks. I've read everything on the TDR I could find (nout just about Suncoast, but also DTT, ATS, Goerend Bros), but there is very little about Suncoast products, even less about experiences with their TC/VB upgrade.



That's why the new thread. Also, will any TC/VB upgrade on a 48RE (2004. 5) hold 450-475 RWHP?

The TC/VB with a commander is good to about 425 HP and 825 ft TQ, After that the rest of the trans should be upgraded. Rememeber conditions affect everything. My personal thoughts are 450 hp and 825. after that I would do input and output shafts.

Call suncoast. I had their transmission in my 01 and it was awesome! I think that they would know how to set it up and what HP vs. parts that you will need.
