Sun Visor Question...

I know it's trivial, but... my visors have lost their spring or friction or whatever you want to call it, and are at halfmast all of the time.

Is there a way to "rewind" them?

Or do I have to spring for new?

Usually those things are a tension cam and it gets worn down so it sags.

I would imagine you would have to get new ones as I don't think the hardware is serviceable. . Don't quote me on this but the past cars I've had were like this.

Just replaced

... my drivers side one for that very same reason. Go to the Dodge place with VIN in hand and they should be able to get you one for $20... . usually in stock too !!Oo. Probably the cheapest thing they sell !!!:-laf

Had the same problem on a 03. Like MMeier said, a new one was cheaper than what they were asking for used.

Mine are starting to sag a little. The one on the passenger side won't stay when I have the windows down.

Thanks for the info... I found out hanging my hand held fire dept radio from the visor does make it sag... too bad that was a perfect place for it while driving.

... btw... if anyone's replaced the top (hinged lid) of the console in between the driver and passenger seats... what did it run?
