I did a forum search but couldn't find any mention of this in the past. What is the deal with the flip down sun visors that Dodge uses? Every morning I drive east towards the sunrise for 30 minutes, and towards the western sunset on the way home. When I flip down the visor towards the windshield as far as it will go, it immediately moves back down vertically to where it blocks my view of top half of the windshield. I end up craning my neck to see beneath it, or holding the visor in place with one hand. It's not like I have anything hanging from them that is heavy. I don't even have the lighted vanity mirror option, these are just the standard visors.

Has anyone figured out a trick to make the visors remain where you want them to? I just want the top 4" or so of the windshield blocked out, not the entire top half.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but it's has been bugging me for a while now.

Scooter,

I removed the 3 screws securing the visor and took it down. I don't see any means of adjustment on the back side of the mounting plate; there is just a plastic tip behind there. I remounted the visor and tightened the mounting screws extra tight but it didn't really seem to help.

Thanks anyway. Maybe it's just the nature of the design.

If you detach it from the clip and slide it to the right a little and swing it forward or aft you can get more positions from it. I like that the visor slides to cover the side window. Also, if you have a power seat, you can lower it to see under the visor. I hope this helps.

Mine does the same thing and I have the same situation to and from work. You could always consider moving east of where you work so the sun is behind you. ;)

The only problem with that idea is I would be on a houseboat in the middle of Lake Michigan. But at least I wouldn't have to travel for some good fishing! :D

Oh well. That's what I get for assuming. I haven't had a problem with mine. I just assumed Dodge would make them the same as most other vehicles on the market (at least the ones I've owned). :(
