Some guys think they can blame everyone but themselves. Also, i am sure that Suncoast made him aware of the dangers of not including that shaft. My money says the shaft was already craked from the stress of goofing off when it was dry and a little slip and grab action finished it off. I don't know what kind of power he's got but I know if I have 8psi and am moving forward accellerating I have alot of force on that shaft. When the chargers really light then look out!

only time I ever fragged a transmission, it happened at 1/4 throttle easing into 3rd gear...

'course, I was at the track a few days before axle hopping like a mo-fo on hoosiers!

Reading this makes me feel really lucky!! Cause I have well over 50 HARD launches (18-22lbs. boost) on my stock output shaft!! I've been at or over 500HP for close to a year and have done a lot of drag racing and haven't broke it YET! I can expect my turn to be coming I guess - Lavon

I feel the same way Lavon and David do. More boost launches than i can count for more than a year on stock intermediate/output shafts. I sure watched Suncoast parts put it to the ground at IRP though... . talk about leaving under pressure :--)

When i finally break the parts that i didn't buy... ... . i'll buy them too :-laf

Just a little FWI -

You can change out the output shaft without tearing into the whole transmission. You don't even have to drop it. All you have to do is drop the transfer case (150lbs, don't even need a jack) and un bolt the overdrive unit and drop it off. Just rebuild the overdrive unit (may not even need new clutches) with your new output shaft. Lot less PITA than a total rebuild, if you do it BEFORE it breaks.

I broke a billet input blasting down a onramp. I also broke a stock output in my driveway. :D

you wanta play you have to pay :-laf
