Its finnaly happening I just hope the Pro-Loc HD VB dont shift TOOOOO hard.



I just droped the truck off and they said they should be giving me a call around 4PM to come and pick it up. .

Good luck with your new trans upgrades DM !! Joe Webb is a good guy and his staff is very helpful ! I have one of their 'Suncoast- full billet transmissions' with their 'Suncoast5-Disc Converter' To say the least: The thing ROCKS!! I've had the Triple Disc and found it to Rock as well! But I had the chance to upgrade to the 5-Disc and I did! Best converter I ever had!! Did you get the Lock up controller too? Awesome piece- when I installed the controller it was a night and day difference!! Knocked 3 tenths off @ track with that upgrade!!

I can't say anything bad about Suncoast Transmissions- Joe Webb and the crew stand behind EVERY PRODUCT they sell!! Good Luck DieselMinded you made the right upgrade!
 
Unless he has it hitting at 28 mph- But if he follows what Suncoast suggests where to set it at what's the harm? Do you think that the Triple disc is gonna be any kinder to the stock input shaft? Even without the controller my Triple used to slam like I got hit by a train- then I figured it'll be better to control *when* it hits... ... . Should he upgrade the input shaft? YES! And I'm quite sure that Joe suggested it as an upgrade.
Heck my buddy snapped his input shaft at a toll booth! This was with a Pro Loc Single disc- with NO controller, he doesnt even have real power yet (my buddy) still with the stock HX35... ... .
It'll snap em stock or modified when it's time is up - SNAP and you go nowhere but the hook... ... . (or rollback)
Me I wanted more control on when it hits (Locs) that's why I mentioned the controller.

And I convinced my buddy to upgrade his input shaft- and he upgraded his Pro-Loc single to a Triple Disc- no controller -YET.

Keep upgrading stuff and there is just another weak spot there is no end

You are right about the shaft busting whenever it wants Jeff. I was also not thinking L/U controller as much as I was just "Lock up Switch. "
 
well good and bad ... . shift good but after awhile it wont downshift past 3rd gear !!!!



A 3rd gear start when in 4x4 up a hill is not a good thing ... even when I manualy put it in 2 or 1 it still wouldnt downshift past 3rd !!!!!



I guess these is a Diode that goes in the PCM that fixs this ... I have the Diode and Im putting it in tomorrow..... when turning the truck off it resets and shifts fine...



you guys know anything about this???

Upgrade the Input Shaft- YES AS SOON AS YOU CAN-
More so now that you have a real Valve Body-and that Triple- with a Comp box!?! oooooh time to pray for that input shaft.

DM be easy on her til you can do it right with the input shaft Call Joe up at Suncoast they have a real nice one.

It stinks that you didnt do this now while the trans work was being done!


And you mention the Comp box later in the Thread?!? You better read this- shutdown computer and call Suncoast!!!!

Ok well slow down a bit .



No input shaft upgrade if I upgrade my shaft then 3rd gear is next to go.



NO WORRY here



Ive seen 500 + Hp on stock input and it was fine.



Not saying mine will be but Im not worried about it



As well as the flex plate . .



I was going to get it stiffened ... but Again I have seen tons more HP on stock Flexplate and it was fine . .



I repeat If you keep upgrading stuff another part WILL BREAK PERIOD ... there is no end>

No Controler and I have no idea what my line pressure is all I konw is it seems to work OK



I had the Diode put in today so far so good about 5 miles loged so I really dont know yet.

$5000 invested from right this second and another $5000 would have to be invested to keep it on the road.



With well over $40,000 invested so far You have to stop somewhere.

Like I climb under my truck each day to look at my Magtech transmission pan! And if others are seeing it, I am in a whole of hurt! SNOKING

Im Really happy with what I have now



The Wants have to slow Down



Im staying well under 500 HP thats why I never went with a full built trany



IMO



What I have is What I Need for my GOAL HP #



Any other upgrades will be cosmetic



and I do think the MAgtech is also a cosmetic upgrade



I love the looks of em' and yes when I look @ a Bombed CTD I do look under it not just @ it.

Truck is running stong



I personally think when I get my comp Box Back it will be all I will need for a long time ... . too bad my ecm Crapped out now its going to have to get bombed also.



Love my Trany



Felt kind of Bazzar at first then You get used to it .



For some reason I like to place truck in Neutral when stoped it acks like its ready to go when Stoped In Drive . Must be the VB .
