Super Dutys to get 20 inch Alcoas...

I received my daily email from Alcoa and todays headline was that Ford will now offer a new line of 20 inch Alcoa wheels as geniune Ford accessories for the Super Duty trucks.



Referred to as Super Duty Dubs, customers can choose from 5 styles of aluminum wheels, from a flared 6-spoke to a wide 5-spoke design.



As a Alcoa employee I am sure they will be lovely, I need a set for my 2000 3500.

Phords have a metric bolt patter. They probably won't fit.

They went to a metric bolt pattern in '99 or so. they no longer interchange.

Hey Turbo, the folks at Alcoa have been telling me "first quarter of the year" for a set of 19. 5 wheels with the right offset for the third gen Dodge SRW's. Do you have any sources that can back up that information? Thanks.

Ford uses their "corporate" Sterling rear axle. Dodge on the other hand uses Dana's in the second gen's and AAM axles in the third gen's. FWIW, the AAM's are also used in the new GM HD's.

sucks about the different bolt pattern i think... they have the 8x170mm pattern, and we have the 8x6. 5" pattern. but, what fits gm's 8 lugs fits ours if the offset/baclspacing is correct to not stick way out of the fenders [that looks tacky i think]

not if you lower it , 2 inches of the ground, add some hydraulics. . and one big coffee can muffler. :-laf :-laf

No I don't work with the Alcoa wheel division. I am in the aerospace sector so I really could not help with that info.

The local Ford dealer has a SD out front with the 20's on it. Looks kinda goofy if you ask me, maybe with the right tires it might look ok. I just wish we had a better tire selection. A nice and tall 35/17 10. 5 would be right up my alley. Them skinny tires are nice in the snow.
