Hope this helps, it you want I'll call the dealer on Monday and ask about the springs. . But it will lift the truck.

Mike

I wonder if all you guys are getting 1 1/2 inch. lift from the 988 ,s I would like to put them on with a lift kit I got from Hell Bent Steel that is 1 1/2 inch. lift spacers instead of the standard 2 inch. lift.

I need some help with this has any one else got a 1 1/2 inch lift out of the 988 's my be I dont need any spacers thanks

Thanks looken for ward for your report

I found some super springs at rocky mountian suspension . They are rated 5000lb and have 2. 5 inch lift. They claim stock springs are 2500lbs. I wonder if anyone has those. I think I just might try them on my 03 and get rid of the spacer.

Spring info

Visited my dealer today. Info as follows:

My 06 DRW has 985AA

07' chassis cab in dealer lot has 986AA and sticker indicated the truck had optional HD springs (986AA)

The computer indicated a 987AA & 988AA were available.

I also have seen that new 07s with 6. 7L would have XHD springs available.

Just curious, has anybody put these springs on an older third gen like an '04 or '05? I can't see any reason why they wouldn't work. However, when the dealer pulled them up they were listed only for '07?

Did you need a leveling kit even with the 988 springs?

CUMMINZ

If you need one I have a new in box 1 1/2 inch. kit from Hell Bent I had two made special order so it will still be ok for towing 2 inch. was a bit to much.

It all depends on how you want it to look like and your truck if you need spacers. My truck has a really heavy bumper and winch and with the 2" spacers and 988s it sets dead level. But my buddies with a light bumeper didnt need spacers but it is about 1" from dead level. So think it all depends on your truck and how you want it to set... .

I will also add that it was VERY HARD to get the 988s in with 2" spacers. Even with the track bar and sway bar undone, they were a long way from fitting (The 988s are soooo stiff). I will just say that my way of compressing them to fit involved an excavator and steel banding... that made it a bit easier. If i had worked at it with a big bar i could have got it, but my way made it easy...

The 1. 5in spacers that EDavid has would prob work better than 2in if you dont have much weight on the front end and want it level.

How did it set before? Come on Guys, measure before/after. Only one person here says, mine sets 2'' Higher, "TRUST ME".

Believe me , I want to believe this will raise my front end 2'', but I am doubtful.

I would like to install these with my 2" spacers, and put 20lbs in my Ride Rites, and set level.

This would be great. I want to lift my truck 2'' higher, in the front, then it would set level while towing my 5vr.

I dont exact measurements from top of tire to fender well but mine had a bad nosedive from day one... (as it had 983s on it... . )

Before i did anything to the suspension and put the bumper on the front my axle set 1-1. 5" from the bump stops (Sorry dont have measurement wheel to fenders and also my truck has a steel flatbed with 4 tool boxes with chains and boomers and all kinds of tools... . so i would figure i have 2000lbs+ on the truck all the time).

If you want i can send you a pic of how my truck sets and PM me any measurements you want me to take and i will... I know you wanted before also but i will do my best to help

I never said 2" But I DID measure mine and it is a full 1 1/2 higher. I don't work for Dodge. . I am just telling you that my 06 Mega cab is higher, buy 1 1/2 due to the new springs.
