Any way to put Dual Exhaust's?

As I start to dream about my next HP upgrade, these wild injectors sound interesting.

My concern is keeping the beast under control on the slick stuff. One of my reasons for only going to DDI's with a box was that I could power the box off to keep the starting torque down on the slick stuff (read that snow/ice).

What is the experience / opinion of DDIII's and beyond regarding snow and ice driving??

Can one learn to control that extra hp or is the throttle response far too quick to overcome?? Even in stock configuration, my truck with the LS rear is a bear on the slick stuff. If I leave the PE powered up and forget while on snow, I hit the 2K spot on the tach and the rear fights to get in front of the truck... #ad


Anyone's thoughts / experience is welcome...

I drive Sickly in snow, mud, dirt, rocks, gravel, mountainsides, whatever, when on hunting trips. It just takes experience and a little talent to control that twitchy right foot. #ad


If you want less torque, use a bigger exhaust housing. You'll still have plenty if the engine is getting "earnest" fueling. And, you'll get more top end power from less exhaust restriction.
 
David_VT, good question. I answered it for myself last week. Drove home during a snow storm, no problems with control with the truck in FWD. As Joe D. stated, not really an issue if you just drive with a little caution.

David_VT, I prefer my vehicles with lots of throttle oversteer. A little finesse' with the right foot, and you can "dirt-track" your way through a turn on anything but ice. Dry pavement takes a lot more speed and throttle, of course. Front to rear weight bias is a problem, though the extra weight of my tools and tool box seem to offset that.
I don't turn my PE off in snow or rain, never felt the need to, in fact, I get uncomfortable if it's off...

Most of my local driving in the winter is on dirt roads where the center birm or hump is often 6" to 12" above the shoulder by this time of year. This leaves your vehicle driving across a nice slope most of the time. Sometimes I can lock the brakes and feel/see the truck making for the shoulder/ditch on it's own (gravity). Another nice test is getting into the throttle for a few seconds... between the LS rear and these roads, backing into a driveway can be a breeze (even if the driveway was never there before... #ad

4WD is almost mandatory if one wants to think about anything else but survival whilst driving to the store for milk...

But, I'll add more power!! YEEE HAAAA
 
I don't know if he will have time to make up any more of them; it's just a week away. Also, he is waiting on some of the magic parts they are made from. So the answer is a "maybe".

Hope you don't have to go "tire-to-tire" against those Ford "bullies" without the SM injectors in your little Ram #ad
