Passed one yesterday. It was a CC, so I assume it came with a 6. 7.
I passed it on the right, he was a little slow in the left lane(about 65-70).
At first I thought the regen must have started. Then it went away, then it smoked again, a thick cloud, far worse than any of the old "dirty" diesels I have ever seen. It was out of sight after about one minute, smoking like he was pulling a sled. (Ok, a little less, but it seemed like every time he would accelerate about 1 mph, a cloud of smoke. When he let up on the throttle, no smoke)
Even if it was regenning, why so much smoke, and for so long? How could the EPA have approved something like that? Can you imagine a picture on front page of a new "clean diesel" with a cloud of smoke out the tailpipe?
Or was the particle filter gutted?
