does anyone have experience with this tire in the 10 ply version. i am looking to replace some 33-12. 5-16. 5 tires and really want to get an E range 10 ply tire. i would like the trxus but it is not available yet. i have read that the ssr in 10 ply will last around 40k. any info would help. also any info on other brands making a tire in this size. thanks much

Not to many people I talked to got 40K miles out of them. A lot have switched to the Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip. Less aggressive, siped, better wear, easier to balance. Come in load range E. Specs here. Here's a pic of tire and tread design.

Wow, those look like nice tires! They sure come in some nice sizes. Any ideas of prices?

They're a lot like Kelly Springfield MSR's in tread pattern. I like the Kellys though they are highly advertised as off-road tires.

I have the Trxus 285's 10 ply on my truck and I like them.

BUT the heat is hard on them I have had two of them come apart when I was towing a load of about 8,000 lbs. When you go off road the tires shine.

At 25,000 miles now and the two that did not blow out now need replaced.

Hope This Helps

The Parnelli Jones tires are by far the best tires I have ever had on my truck. They were put on about a month ago and ride great. I have the 38"x15. 50x16. 5..... one of the tires only took . 75 ounce to balance. Another bonus is they are load range E, 10 ply!

How are those PJ's on the e-way, noisy er not? Do they have raised white letters on one side, by chance?

Thanks Later, Rob
