Went to recalibrate the speedometer on my 06 2500 using my superchips tuner I bought several years ago, it didn't work, downloaded new program and tried again, this time gave me an error code of G38. I called superchips customer support and was told that my tuner was no longer supported (mfg 8/2009), but they would be happy to give me a credit and sell me a new one for just $229. Guess I will live using my GPS for accurate speed readings. BAHHHH:{

If you know someone with a smarty they can recalibrate the speedometer and it will stay even after the smarty is removed.

Nope, that doesn't happen. Goes back to the same thing as stock when you remove the Smarty.

OP, invest in the Smarty. Will be th ebest investment you ever make.

Actually it does happen, I have done it on my truck several times and how my speedo is within 2mph at 70mph with EFI live. May have changed with updates, mine is older software.

I have unloaded several Smartys 100 times or better and the adjustment never stays. As soon as you program stock it goes back to stock pinion factor. The idle up feature stays but everything else goes back to stock.
