I have been looking at the Superchips Max Microtuner. I am not sure I like the idea of tampering with the cummins ecm settings and software. Anyone else have more hands on experiences? I would be interested in any thoughts?

i Just installed my superchips on my 01. 5 Ho and WOW did it wake it up ALOT. . i am very happy with it so far. . but then again i have not tried to change any of the settings yet.

I've tried the EZ, Superchips, and Hypertech. I'm currently running the Hypertech mainly because of the speedometer recalibration. The Superchips gave me major smoke and heat. The Hypertech and EZ give me similar boost & EGT numbers and only smoke when stepping on it off-boost. The Hypertech does set an ECM fueling code but the truck runs fine. I'll just clear it and set it back to stock programming if I go to the dealer.

Hypertech works great and if put back to stock it can be used on a different truck.
