Hopefully I won't start a riot :-{} here, but which is the best? I know the answer -- it depends on what you are looking for. So, here's what is important to me:

I don't tow.

4. 5" - 6" Height

I want to be able to clear 37" tires on H2 rims. (8. 5 rim w/ 5. 5 backspacing)

I have a 230lb Road Armor bumper and a 100 pound winch hanging off my front end -- 330 pounds, I need to eliminate the front and sag.

MUST be reliable -- don't want to replace wear items very often.

I don't have the death wobble and don't want to introduce it. (I know about the alignment, caster, etc)

Price doesn't matter as long as the kit meets everything above.

Thoughts, experiences, and importantly -- pictures are welcome!

Thanks!!! Oo.

Skyjacker has always made great kits, but I wish they would introduce the 7" long arm for the 3rd Gen's.

Tuff Country has a nice front box design, but I'm not hip on 4" or 6" spacers on top of my springs.

Fabtech IMO is the worst choice on the market. Why? I speak from experience. Their rear spring packs pop, squeak, creak and eventually the leaf clips crack and break. Their front springs sagged a full inch within one year after buying the kit. You say you have a heavy front bumper so they will more than likely sag even quicker for you. I was not a fan.

Superlift seems to be okay, but I don't think they manufacture their control arms long enough which leaves the front wheels looking un-centered in the front wheelwell. They do however and always have marketed great coils for the Ram which maintain their ride height and exhibit great flex for years to come.

I'm actually building a 6" hybrid kit utilizing some Tuff-Country and Superlift parts. In essence I'm taking what I like from some of the manufacturers and going custom on the rest. Should be complete this summer. Hope this helps and feel free to PM me with any questions. This Ram will be my fourth that I have lifted so I've dealt with pretty much all of the manufacturers you outlined at some point. Good luck

Depends on the budget. Kelderman will sell you a 6" airbag kit for the front end for around 12-1300 that give you long adjustable arms, adjustable ride height, and weight capacity. Also comes with adjustable shocks. The question is what do you want and what do you have to work with.

I have the Superlift 4" kit. I don't like the 2" block they give you and really hate the axle wrap associated with it, which is probably there with any block over axle lift kit. The vibration when starting off is very noticeable.

If I were to do any lift again (Dodge, Ford, or Chevy), I'd look at the air bag setup (Kelderman). Pricey but you'll only have to do it once, and never regret spending $2k on a block setup. I like the concept of kicking the springs to the curb and going with a link system. Major plus, IMO.

I have pics here if you are interested on a 4" Superlift with 315's and aftermarket rims.

Good luck!

PS - Did I mention the truck is for sale?

He had a full Skyjacker 4. 5 System w/ replacement leafs and dual shocks and all that. Now he has a 4 link custom air bag in back and Skyjacker 4. 5 in front. I cant remember but he might have DT Track bars (in front).

I just installed the tuff country kit this past weekend. I like it so far. The ride is the same or a little better than stock. I think a set of bilstiens would make a major difference. I only wanted to run a 35 so I went with the 4. 5 kit. It would be a squeeze but you could probably run a 37 if you dont do much off roading. I have always heard that the 6 inch on these trucks is hard to setup. On another note, I had a skyjacker on my 2000 dodge and really like it, but it was only a 3 inch kit. If I had to do it over again I would do the tuff country.

Whiplash makes a 5 inch lift for 3rd gens Front kit comes with the adjustable track bar and rear springs lift truck 5 inch and completely eliminate factory rear block. So it is axle bolted to Leaf to eliminate axle wrap all lifts should be like that especially on a Torque monster of a Diesel. Blocks just add leverage for axle wrap
