Where does an Amsoil SINGLE bypass oil filter get it's supply

and

where does the return line dump?

I'm hoping it's the small un-used bolt on top of the stock oil filter mounting bracket - ? -

and

that the return can be tapped into the side of the oil fill tube with an appropriate rubber grommet as a sleeve - ? -

Thanks

Ben,

Remove the small plug that is next to the turbo oil supply line on top of the oil fiter bracket. That will be your oil supply for your by-pass filter. I ran the return line next to the battery cable that runs across the top of the fan shroud to the oil filler tube. Mark the oil tube where you want the return line, remove oil filler tube, drill and tap.

I ran my return line through wire split wire harness for added protection and looks.

crabman :)

You can also run your return line to a swivel fitting (from Amsoil) that you mount in the center of your oil filler cap. This makes it very nice for doing oil samples for lab analysis.

Oil Guard Installation

Here are some pics of my Oil Guard installation. The oil return cap is available from Oil Guard. Hope this helps. Terry

Ben, be sure and post some pics when you get your bypass installed. I've been thinkin about installing one on my 94.

This is how I mounted mine on my older 94' CTD.

Anybody using Fleetguard's bypass filter?

I think I'm going to fab a mount for it and start using it. I have a 6 sp so I have the luxury of mounting to the front corner of the head. Only reason I can't use what I have with the FG is that the currentl filter is shorter than a LF777. I'll probably do it before summer. If/when I do it I will post pics.
