I have an idea that I want to run across the panel, we being an elete group of members and friends should set up an account with volunteered money to set asside for those in need. I wouldnt want this money to be used for bombing trucks
but instesd we could use it for fallen or hurt members that are in need of financial support
. We all know that none of us are going to get outa this world alive anyway
and my thinking is that this fund could be used as a stop gap for the family to lessen the financial burden that is too frequient dealing with sickness and death. I know nobody likes to think or talk about it but in the end we are all doomed.
SOME OF MY THOUGHTS
Dont know the legal ramifications of the fund but would prolly want it to be established as a non profit organization ? Tax problems ?
Have the lead moderator be the overall guy to call the shots as to when and who needs help.
The other moderators would sit on the panel as voters if you will.
The tdr membership will upon learning when someone is in need will send a pm to the lead moderator and they will call a panel meeting on the puter of course.
To get the fund started we the members will volunteerly send in an amount of our discretion.
On the register card the tdr could put a box to check if you so wish to contribute and how much, so everything above the 35 bucks would become available to the fund.
The money should only be used for the members itself, I think if we included spouses than it would be difficult to manage ??? not sure on that one. A set amount needs to be set as to not show favortism. IE- 100 300 500 1000 what ever ,... ... ... . depends on how much group partisipation we get.
Area Chapters could have some type of fund raisers to help support the system, we would need to watch this as to not get way to much bucks built up .
Do not allow this fund to accept funds from vendors... ... ... lets not create any type of favortism or friction that may prompt members to buy from any certain vendor.
If we had a bad run of luck on members health the tdr staff and the chapters could anounce the need for fund donations to support the effort.
If this is possible for us to do I would like to be the first one to donate a crisp hundred bucks to start it off. Please give your comments on a worthwhile and needed cause ... ... ... ... . Kevin
