Surge after depressing pedal (from idle)

I was working on the truck tonight and noticed something strange. While running at idle, I depressed the accelerator a few times and noticed that randomly, the truck would surge to about 200 RPM under idle speed, and then return to normal idle.



Has plenty of acceleration and torque, even under load.



Recently ran injector cleaner and it has a new fuel filter.



Any thoughts?

Well, oddly enough, I notice the same issue while driving, where the truck just feels like it drops below idle RPM after letting off of the accelerator completely. I decided to increase the edge from 'drive' to 'race' and the problem is gone completely on this setting...



I guess it could be a setting on the edge 'drive' mode, or simply not enough fuel?

Aha, it was the Fuel Control Actuator. It was easy to replace and all is good! Thanks! Paul

What steps did you take to determine that it was the FCA? Another poster here is having a fuel problem also, and I wonder if he might be having the same issue.
