Truck has a surge , flutter , or flop at wot when I floor it power comes up smooth until 2400 rpm then its like letting off the go pedal for a split second then continues accelerating again. Ive checked boost hoses, changed fuel filter (minimum pressure is 9#),put dielectric grease on MAP, IAT sensors and all other box connections. Anybody have any ideas? sure hope its something simple! PS, no codes have been set. TIA guys.

Could be a dead spot on the APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor). You might try recalibrating. Disconnect the batteries for 30 minutes, then reconnect, turn switch on and slowly press accelerator to floor, then slowly let off. Turn off the ignition, then crank the truck. With it being in the same place all the time, maybe this is your problem.

Tragicwagon,

What is your boost preasure when the surge happens. My truck was doing the same thing at 21 #'s of boost to 32 #'s at 2200 RPM's and up. I thought it was the APPS did the battery thing and it temporarly helped but still no go, so I changed it and it still surged but it turned out to be the EZ, so now Santa is bringing me a brand new EDGE COMP in place of the little broken EZ.

Another member mentioned that he had the ottomind and had the same problems and told me to unhook the the pump wire and see if that helped, Ill try that first , then Ill call banks. Ive been wanting to get the EDGE COMP or DD UFM but I was hoping to sell the ottomind to help pay for it :D . Ive read that DD's version of the comp is a little smoother (not as harsh) as the EDGE COMP, which may be easier on the inj pump. If it is the ottomind maybe banks will stand behind their product and fix it:rolleyes: . Thanks for the responses guys! PS not sure about boost somewhere in the 25# range.
