Would you, or would you not...probably not...

I'm looking into over/under surge protection for my travel trailer. Read a little on the Autoformer and a little on Surgeguard. What works? And what doesn't?

I use the Progressive Industries Model EMS-HW-30C.

Electrical Management Systems

You can either get the plug in type, or wire one into your RV. This is an excellent company and a very high quality electrical managemant system... :)

Thanks RJOL, does yours reset automatically or manually? More replies are welcome.

It has an automatic reset, but it will cut the power if it detects voltages too high or low, or no ground, etc. It has a switch on the display that will overide the computer in it, if it's an internal problem with the surge protector. If you buy the external one, you could remove it, if it failed (not likely). I prefer the hard wired internal one, as it gives me a digital display of line voltage, amp use, and error codes... . :)
