HELP,My 2003 3500 has a surging cruise control problem. Set cruise and it will hold for a short time then start to surge if I leave it go to long it will get worse and worse to the tune of 10-15MPH swing. I have checked the vacum line at the pump and it will hold vacum there. Is it a pump to the tune of 250. 00 at NAPA or what else can I check?

My truck's doing the same thing. I just read an article from issue 41 where a couple of guys were talking about theirs doing the same thing when the waether gets colder. When it's warmer it does OK, which is exactly what mine does.

Anyway, they ended up replacing the vacuum servo and no more problems. Theirs and mine are 12V's. Don't know if it would apply to yours or not.

My truck has done this for years, but as stated ONLY in colder/cooler weather. During the summer months it will stay right where you put it. Temp drops below about 70 degrees outside and it increases speed until I tap the brake. If you continue setting and re-setting the cruise... it "may" eventually stay where you put it. I have posted on this issue before, without any cure in sight.

Good luck, wish someone would figure this out.

Mine did it when I had stacked boxes. When I removed the loader program and backed down on the Edge juice Attitude, the problem went entirely away.
