My boss has a 99 cummins 24 valve 4x4 completely stock and he has had the transmission replaced still doing it with a brand new transmission not rebuilt but brand new.

took back to dodge place replaced like four different sensors it stoped for about 2 -3 weeks now has started to do it again. If he gases it and blows right in to 5th gear and gets above 60 it won't do it but if he tries to save fuel and drive conservative it serges in and out over and over again in and out back and forth from 4th to 5th Its becoming a problem not to be overlooked anylonger so I'm asking for every bodys help O by the way if yall an't guessed its an auto transmission I told him to convert to an NV5600 but he drives in atlanta all the time out of the question :(

The reasion I wont to help him is I've told him how great of a web site this is and he told me if you get the cure for my babby off that web site I'll become a member so If yall wont another brother please pitch in and know I know nothing about autos I have an NV4500 so talk where I can understand yall Thanks so much one more time 4x4 ext cab 1999 3500 auto

P. S. hes had it worked on 7 times and all claimed to have fixed it :(

Sounds like electrical interference in the PCM. The signal gets altered somewhere between the TPS-ECM-PCM route. Could be from the battery, alternator, add on extras, radio, lift pump, etc. The easiest way to fix it is with a kit that most of the aftermarket trans builders sell or go to www.happibox.com
