my son has a 2006 with automatic transmission. . around 60 k miles. . he sets the cruse control at 70 mph... and the rpm will drift up and down 200 to 300 rpm. . ... he took it into a dodge dealer in kc, mo and they told him all dodges do this. . Well i have a 03 and it works perfect... should there be a code number for a small trouble like this?? does anyone know of a dealer in the kc, mo area they'd recomend??? tks... radar Doctor

I remember my 99 dodge gasser did the same thing traded it in for my diesel someone else's problem now

Not all of them do this, thats a given. Why some do with no codes is the question. Lots of pieces in that equation; APPS, FCA, rail pressure sensor, ECU, etc.

Aftermarket programmers and boxes will cause the surge. Bad batteries, a failing alternator can contribute.

Surely someone has had this trouble before. . im wondering if it's a computer glitch?/ still lookin for a solution?? Thanks Radar Doctor
