I have noticed what appears to be a surging effect everytime I use the cc. I've noticed it from day 1 and have validated this apparent effect by monitoring the boost gauge while driving. The boost needle will fluctuate in a range of 5-10psi will driving with the cc set at 70mph. The truck is completly stock with 7000 miles on the odo. I've done a search on here and really have not found an answer. Is this normal for a diesel... . this is my first diesel. Thanks in advance for the input.

Mine would do it, but only after I had pressure boxes hooked up to the MAP and Rail sensors.

I unplugged the boxes and it would still surge.

I tried to fix it by using some Permatex dielectric grease on the connectors. I can't believe it, but it fixed the surging, with or without the boxes being connected.

Perhaps the MAP and Rail plugs on your trucks aren't seated just right? Just a thought...

I'll second what Mr Cleary said. ON mine, it shows up when I have my Xzillaraider plugged in. When it starts surging, just wiggling the MAP and Rail plugs clears it up (sometimes it doesnt take very long for it to come back).

Thanks for the input guys, I'll take a look at the MAP and Rail sensors to ensure good connection.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond :) :) :)
